Trauma Informed Yoga
Yoga classes specific to those suffering from PTSD
and trauma-related conditions. Classes focus on
bringing participants into the present moment by
encouraging attention to sensation in the body
and movement of the breath.
Caroline is currently facilitating trauma-informed classes
with groups at Te-Upoko-me-te-Karu-o-Te-Ika/Mental Health, Addictions
& Intellectual Disability Service as well as partnering
with a counsellor to work with ACC Sensitive Claims clients.
Additionally she provides mental health-aware embodied movement
sessions for Pathways through their mental health, addiction and
wellbeing services and at the Central Region Eating Disorder Service,
as well as in private practice in Wellington. She has also developed a
yoga programme through Red Cross for
refugee-background women. See more here:
